Yaqeen takes the lead late and wins game 1 of the finals Dec 16, 2019

Game 1 of the finals between the two teams that finished first in their respective divisions. Haya is battling with some major injuries while Yaqeen uses a new goalie every week, clearly these teams are not at 100%. The game started off as you would expect tight, no team was giving up an inch, Yaqeen did have some solid possession but were turned away from star goaltender Imran Alvi. The deadlock was broken from this season's top forward Abu Manjara. Yaqeen did generate some solid chances but again turned away. The last 7 mins was all Haya, generating chance after chance but were turned away from the best player in this game Ahmed Mobin. I was really impressed with Haya's depth, missing 3 key players and they still competed and had a chance to not only tie but win this game, Luqman has definitely drafted the best squad. On Yaqeen's part it was a sloppy game, their core players did not play up to expectations and often looked gassed on the bench. Yaqeen needs to turn this around as this week they got lucky with their goalie bailing them out, but Haya is the leagues top team and will capitalize if this type of play continues.
