The 10:00pm game featured two teams headed in opposite directions. Haya had won their previous two games while Ihsan had lost its last two, being shut out on both occasions. From the opening drop of the ball it was clear that Ihsan was determined to turn its season around. Ihsan used a combination of speed, hustle, aggressive play, and skill to ensure that the top team in the league, Haya, would not run away with this game, as many neutral observers had predicted. Akib Malik would open the scoring for Haya early in the game, but Dawood Ciombar would respond before the end of the period. As the buzzer sounded to mark the end of the first frame, a melee broke out. Both perpetrators, Luqman Arshad and Bilaal Hafeez, would spend the first 6 minutes of the second period in the penalty box. The Second period would see more aggressive play with a total of 9 penalties handed out. Haya would capitalize on a power play early in the second period as Ammal Esmatyar converted a pass from older brother Ajmal. Sufyan Shaikh would tie the game at 2-2 before Ammal scored his second of the game on a beautiful one man efforts as he weaved through a number of defenders. Akib would respond two minutes later, tying the game up once again, with his own second goal of the game. In the final minutes of the game, Haya’s goalie, Imran Alvi, made a number of improbable saves to stifle Ihsan, and with seconds left on the clock, Omar Essawi’s point shot sailed inches wide, preserving a hard fought 3-3 tie.
