by Mazhar Hussain

Sabr extends their unbeaten streak to 5 games and stay undefeated while Ikhlas suffer their first loss of the season. The 8pm game was set to be a thriller with 2 undefeated teams going head to head. As expected, it lived up to the hype. In a shootout battle where the goalies were left out exposed, Sabr prevailed victorious with a 5-4 win. Ikhlas winger, Imran lakhanpal was the first to score with a beautiful shot from outside the circle. The play seem to be tilted towards the sabr end until Ikhlas forward got tangled up with a Sabr Defense. Sabr's Hamoud wasted no time and scored on the PP to tie the game and gave Sabr momentum. To end the half, Zubair waheed scored 2 more goals to lift the team to a 3-1 lead. 2nd half, Ikhlas scored to cut the lead to 1 goal until F. Mehboob replied with controversial high stick goal. This goal was the major swing in the game which went from the goal being waved off and Sabr receiving a 2 min penalty to instead giving Sabr a 4-2 lead. Sabr didn’t look back after that lead and ended it with a 5-4 win. Time expired for Ikhlas on the attempted comeback.
