Emaan rolls past Taqwa after the big trades Oct 7, 2019
by Kadir Motiwala

Emaan seemed to be a completely new team this week. With almost a full squad, a dominant display of hockey prevailed from their end. Arif Khan facing his former team, this was sure to be a tight one but that didn't last long. The floodgates were opened by D-man Kadir scoring the first goal on his debut night followed by goals from Arif Khan (payback) and Yusuf Ingar. It was nice to see goal distribution amongst other players this time around, giving superstar Yusuf Ingar some breathing room. The real highlight in this game was GM Mohammed Kazi who netted the season's first hat trick. Despite leadership from Ali Wadee, Taqwa could not capitalize on their chances and were held to only 2 goals. Taqwa will have to change gears fairly quickly in order to remain competitive during the season. We can expect a lot more from Emaan going forward, given that the turnout will be similar week-in week-out.
