by Vasim Kagzi

For the first game of the night, this game had its ups and downs. The ball was bouncing like a pinball at times throughout the game and the weird bounces went Ridha’s way in the opening period with a goal by none other than GM himself Farooq Sani who wrapped it around to score the first goal for Ridha. The game was a fast paced game with a lot going on with shots flying from Ridha’s twin towers Emmad Khawaja and Naeem Akhtar. A needless penalty taken in the defensive zone by Vasim Kagzi which was killed off by Sabr. In the second half, the pace was getting better and better with a point shot that went in taken by Naeem but was waived off because of an offside call which gave some light to Sabr because they came out flying. The first goal by Sabr was scored by none other than number 1 overall Zubair Wahid who walked in the blue line and let a nice slapper rip on the far right side beating goalie Ahmed Mobin. The bench went wild and Zubair got the monkey off his back. After Farooq Sani for Team Ridha took a 4 minute high sticking penalty which put Sabr on a power play. Sabr was working on a nice power play. The dynamic duo of Riaz Lasania and Zubair Wahid went to work with a nice snipe by Zubair Wahid to give Sabr the lead 2-1. The Whitehawks superstar was on fire and got the team hyped up on the bench after scoring that goal. The rest of the game was a seesaw battle and Sabr couldn’t hold on to the lead and Fahad Mohammad from Team Ridha capitalized on a miscue and tied the game at 2. This game was a fantastic game for fans to watch.
