Adam Moftah Scores twice in Ikhlas 3-1 Win Oct 1, 2019
by Mazhar Hussain

Adam Moftah makes his i-slam season debut with a game winner and an insurance goal to seal the deal for Ikhlas in a 3-1 win. The 9pm game was set to be a thriller with a good ol malton matchup. The old vs the yute. Emman came out strong right from the opening faceoff. With hard fore checking, Emman's Yusuf Ingar manage to score on Yasir Hussain with a loose ball sitting in his crease in a scrambled play. That would be the first goal given up by Yasir in this new campaign. That’s all it took for the veteran Ikhlas team to wake up and never look back. A composed Mudassar Hussain tied up the game with a one timer set up by Adil Chohan. Tied 1-1 going to the second half, Ikhlas didn’t sit back. Adam Moftah showed up late but made it count. Potting 2 goals quick in the 2nd half to kill off any fight Emman had left in them. There were few chances exchanged but Yasir Hussain was rock solid to finish the game in a 3-1 win for the green team. Ikhlas is now 2-0 to start the season while Emman is going the opposite direction with a 0-2 start. Still early but seems Kazi will need to tweak the lineup a little to stay in a playoff spot.
