Yaqeen coasts to easy win over Ihsan Aug 2, 2019
by Ajmal Esmatyar

The 2nd game of the night was a clash between two teams trending in opposite directions.   Yaqeen, with their recent waiver claim won a decisive victory over the 1st place team and looked to continue their winning ways, while Ihsan was just looking for their players to actually show up for a game.  Yaqeen got on the scoreboard early in the 1st with a goal from former Ihsan, Habibi, getting his 2nd of the year and is now on a 2 game scoring streak.  The first ended with a 1-0 score and both goalies looked sharped in the first.  Imran stopped 11 of 12 shots, while backup goalie Muzammil stopped all 5 shots that came his way.

The second was a far different game altogether, as Ihsan looked tired, while Yaqeen came out firing.  Ali murtaza scored his 5th goal of the year early in the 2nd, while Brian and Azim added a goal later in the period.  The game ended in a 5-1 victory for Yaqeen who have now won two in a row and move up quietly in the standings, while Ishan drop their 3rd straight game and move the basement of the standings.  Final shots were 20 for Ihsan and 22 for Yaqeen.  Farrukh Khan and Hamoudi both had real strong games.  Ihsan will look to get back in the win column against a Haya team who have lost two in a row while Yaqeen will look to face off against the top team in the league in Sabr, who are on a 3 game winning streak.
