Haya remains undefeated with victory over Ihsan Jul 9, 2019

The first game of week 4 was an early battle for 1st, as Team Haya heading into the game with a 1 point lead on Ihsan were looking to widen their lead with a victory, while Ihsan was looking to get back in the win column as well as the top of the standings

It didn’t look good for Ihsan early, as they were able to dress just enough to start the game, but eventually had 2 subs by the end of the game.  Haya also missing some guys, only had 10 players, but didn’t waste time; with just under 2 minutes into the game, Omar Essawi added to his league leading goal total with a nice shot from just inside the blue-line beating a screened Imran.  2 minutes later, Haya added to their lead as Ibrahim found the back of the net with some nice passing from Suleman and Dawud.  Ihsan, down 2-0 started to pick up the pace, even while being short-maned, but were not able to capitalize on Haya’s net-minder Yusuf, who made 9 saves through the first 14 minutes of action.  Then with just 2 minutes left in the 1st, Dawud was able to intercept a clearing pass, and bury it passed a sprawling Imran, to give Haya a 3-0 lead and squash any hopes of Ihsan winning the game.  Ihsan would just not give up, and seconds later, Abdul was able to get passed the D and score his second of the season by a nifty play from Sajjid, bringing the 1st to an end with a 3-1 lead for Haya.

Like they did in the 1st, Haya came out flying again in the 2nd, and Ibrahim scored his second of the night with some miscommunication on man coverage from team Ihsan.  Ihsan, relentless, would get another, this time by Ammal who made a beautiful move at the blue line splitting the defence-man and beating Yusuf on the deke going backhand, cutting the lead 4-2.  Both teams would eventually add a goal, to make the final 5-3 Haya.  Ibrahim, Omar, Dawud and Suleman all finished the night with 3 points for Haya, while Ammal was able to match the feat putting up 3 points of his own for Ihsan.   Yusuf was solid in the victory turning aside 16 of the 19 shots that came his way.
