Shukr dominate Yaqeen for a 4-1 win Apr 3, 2019
by Ali Wadee

With no room for error these 2 teams provided a spirited playoff matchup. Yaqeen getting the best of Shukr in the regular season with one win and a tie, Shukr knew they had to play their best to get through. After a tight checking first half which saw both teams exchange a couple of chances. Yasir Hussain kept Yaqeen off the scoreboard in the first period with a few big season saving saves.  Shukr took a one goal lead going into the second period and then blew it wide open.  Humza Chaudhry answered all critics with a clutch performance notching a game winning hat-trick. The young phenom had an excellent season but the scoring chances and great play didn't show on the scoresheet.

Shukr were "shukrfull" goal scoring leader Emmad had to sit out due to an eye injury (wishing him a quick and full recovery). With only one weapon to defend on Yaqeen, team Shukr stuck to the game plan and contained the talented Adil Patel for most of the night.

Team Shukr will need more games like this from their talented young players to beat Ihsan. The young group of Humza, Arslan, Abdurahman, Tayyab, Ahsan and Zain all had an exceptional game and will need to continue that trend.
