Shukr makes a big comeback for a 3-3 tie with Yaqeen Mar 21, 2019

A game between two rivals and this game intensified the feud between the two even more.  Yaqeen came out of the gates strong, they clearly looked like the better team controlling the pace and racking up shots.  Ali Khwaja was Shukr’s replacement goalie was a rock back there as he made some incredible saves.  Yaqeen broke the deadlock and scored three unanswered goals to end the first half.  The second period began like the first and it was looking like an easy path to victory for white.  However when you have names like Osman Buttar, Faraaz Alvi and Erfan Banapatel no lead is ever safe.  The comeback started with captain Osman Buttar rifling a shot from the red line beating White’s goalie.  Faraaz Alvi followed with a shot of his own from the same spot, producing the same result.  One minute and some change left, black went all in trying to secure a tie and it paid off, EBP parked himself infant of the net for an easy tap-in from a shot from Faraaz Alvi.  Shukr escaped with a tie, and Yaqeen must be deflated as they played so well, but could not close the deal.
