Sabr scores with 24 seconds to get the win Sep 25, 2018
by Haris Mallick

Team Sabr really provided emphasis to their given name. After being down 1-0 early in the first period by a beautiful penalty shot goal by Salman Syed, Sabr tied the game with lest than 7 seconds remaining thanks to their team’s first-round pick; Razi Ahmed.  Both teams exchanged some great chances in this low scoring affair. Ikhlas’s last line of defence; goalie Konan Syed made some remarkable breakaway saves on Sabr GM; Shaukat Khan.  At the other end, veteran netminder Ali Khawaja was brilliant throughout the night.  Both teams took unnecessary penalties as it looked like both clubs were still getting accustomed to their new teams and playing at the Hangar.  Is it the dimensions that are producing low scoring affairs throughout the league? There must be some truth to the above, as this was the second week in a row that 3 of the 4 games were decided by one goal or less. Case in point; Sabr, continued to follow their patient ways and scored with less than 24 seconds left in the game. Mohammed Bilal with the soft hands for the winner for Sabr; 3-2.  However, unlike a Manny Pacqao vs Floyd Mayweather 2, you wont have to wait an entire year to wait for a rematch, both teams will square off again, next week.
