by Fuzail Thakhur

Shukr vs Emaan, a potential semi-final match up between the two teams in the Makkah conference. Shukr was on a roll with no loss in the last six games while Emaan has tied their last five. Shukr was also short handed missing their notables Maaz Haq, Arssal Shahabuddin, Nazeer Ghafoor, Emad Hussain and Goalie Fahad Mohammad. While Emaan was missing their enforcer Rayhan Malik.

The game was mainly controlled for the most part by Emaan who would sustain most of the offensive zone pressure throughout the game. However, Shukr would strike with Mehmet netting a goal with helpers from Adam Younis and Rizwan Malik. Emaan would then respond back with great hustle and a back hand slapper that would beat Majoo top side setup by Osama Soliman. Emaan would outshoot shukr 11-5 to end the first period.

The second period would start with an early goal by Hamoudi with great hustle from youngster and rookie Yousef Elsohemy and assist from Hany Soliman. Most of the second period Emaan managed to out shoot Shukr 12-2. Shukr would not end without a fight as Rizwan Malik would even the score with helpers from Mehmet and Ishrat Chatha. The game would end in a tie to finish the season. Will this potential playoff match be different with a full shukr lineup next time? We will have to wait and see the result of the wild card match between Emaan and Yaqeen next week.
