Ikhlas gets first win of the season over Haya Mar 6, 2018
by Umer Buksh

A game against recent  trade partners. Iklas and Haya wanted to see first hand what their respective players could do for the team. Every game is a must win for  Ikhlas. They had  to gel together and come out with a strong game.

Off the first  face off, you could tell Iklas was a motivated team. Out running and hustling to the loose balls. They were definitely ready to play, applying  alot of pressure to Haya in the first 5 minutes.
Iklas opened the scoring early with a great hustle play, finishing with Salman Alvi getting it in the back of the net.

Haya tied it up with a goal by Arif Khan. Letting Iklas know that they only need one chance to score.

Iklas came out in the second half with  two more goals. They needed goals in a big way, barely generating offense in previous games. Things were looking up for the Green boys!

Humza Ali scored late in the game for Haya to apply the pressure, but it was too little too  late for . Iklas wins 3-2 in a hustle game. Positive sign for both teams that their new acquisitions,Shuaib Hussein ( Haya) and  Nadeem Faqiri ( Iklas) both had two points each.  The shakeup benefited both teams.

Iklas got their  first win of the season with a very disciplined, gritty and fast paced game. Finally showing signs of the team everyone anticipated them to be. Can they keep up the momentum in the upcoming games? The cliché line, " one game at a time".
