Haya holds onto early lead for win Feb 14, 2018
by Arslan Mian

Both teams were looking to leave on a high note as this was their last game before heading into the Mecca Conference.  You would expect the teams to come in with some energy and intensity, but that was not the case for Ihsan.  Ihsan from the first ball drop looked out of it and Haya took full advantage of that by scoring two quick goals courtesy of Arif Khan and Humza Ali.  Haya continued to dominate play with more goals coming from Khan with his second and Farooq Sani to take a 4-0 lead into the half.

The second half saw a completely different Ihsan team, which is sort of becoming a trend for them as they did the same thing against Sabr.  Ijaz Chaudhry leading the charge (like always) by racking up two more goals.  Also another player for Ihsan who isn't being talked about as much is Zakariya Kalair, the young star has 3 goals in 3 games and is becoming a critical part of team Ihsan.  However the charge was not enough as Haya hung on for the win.  This was a very impressive win for Haya as Ihsan finally had their full team (minus star goalie Ahmad Mobin) and Haya were still able to take the win.

Haya now sits at the top of the Medina Conference as they start their tour of the Mecca Conference.  As for Ihsan they need to regroup and start playing like the team they are capable of for the FULL 30 minutes.
