The second round opened with this match-up between old rivals as Ma'un and Nas faced each other. Both teams came into the game with a variety of injuries. Mudassir Hussain, Deklon Roberts and Usman Chaudary were banged up for Ma'un while Nas had Farhan Baig, Mohammed Kadva and Imran Baig playing hurt. The game began with the teams playing evenly, Nas showed their traditional patience and slow offensive sets which took Ma'un out of their run and gun style of play. The first half ended with Nas leading 21-19.
The second half had the game remain just as tight as the first half, but Nas slowly added to their lead as Imran Baig hit some big three-pointers down the stretch. The game ended with Nas winning 39-32, they were led by Imran Baig with 18 points while Ibrahim Baig finished with 11 points. Ma'un was led by Usman Chaudary with 13 points and Deklon Roberts with 8 points while leading scorer Aamir Zafar was held to only five points. |
