Team Ikhlas

English Translation
Ikhlas = Sincerity

Detailed Meaning
Ikhlas linguistically means “to refine” or “to make pure”. Islamically, Ikhlas is to make every act in life sincerely, and purely dedicated for the sake of Allah.

{Say, "Indeed my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. No partner has He.} (6:162)

{Say: Indeed I have been commanded to worship Allah making the Deen sincerely for Him alone}( 39:11)

Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullah) said: “Everything that is loved - if it is not loved for His sake then this love is nothing but distress and punishment. Every action that is not performed for His sake then it is wasted and severed. Every heart that does not reach Him is wretched, veiled from achieving its success and happiness.”

Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak (rahimahullah) said: “Perhaps a great deed is belittled by an (impure) intention. And perhaps a small deed, by a sincere intention, is made great."
