Sabr dominates Shukr to take first place Feb 20, 2018
by Samad Hamidi

Shukr came in the game with an undefeated record and Sabr coming off a one sided game where the opponent was short handed.  This game from the start looked like one goal winning game with both sides playing the game mostly in the neutral zone.  One important aspect of this game was Zaid Majoo was substituting for Ibad khan and coming off a one goal loss from prior game. Little did he know that majority of the period Sabr was going to play short handed including a 5 on 3 with some careless penalties. However, boom boom assembled his defensive corps and led most of the penalty killing. With Shukr unable to capitalize and boxing the pass off perfectly, the momentum started to swing the other way.

The second period was all Waqar khan and Yusuf Sowdagar leading a rejuvenated Sabr. Fahad kept making save after save only for a boom boom breakaway where he had no chance. Shukr made some late strides with rizwan malik putting some pressure along with fuzail thakur and arsal but Zaid Majoo made some majestic saves to keep the score at 1-0 for Sabr.
